Nice use of the word "eviscerated."

See y'all this weekend!

Re: The History of PodCamp: Early Days

Great job! Ahh, memories... PodCamp Boston worked because of you and Chris Brogan's great management and organization skills.

What also worked was being given both responsibility and the authority to gets things done.

When the first organizational emails started coming out from Chris Brogan, I knew that PodCamp was going to be successful.

Re: The History of PodCamp: Early Days

Has it been that long already? Thanks to the Chrisses for approaching me with good timing-- I was able to get my employer, Topaz Partners, and my client, Podcast Ready, to sign on as sponsors. What a great event! My memories:

- 90 degrees-plus weather on Saturday
- Re-acquainting myself with old radio colleagues Tony Kahn and Chris Lydon on Friday night. Telling Lydon I didn't listen to his podcast--oops. Hey, keeping it real and truthful--like. I am a subscriber now, btw.
- Rocketboom 1.0 and 2.0 in the same room for the first time (?). Ooh, the tension... but also weird, like watching a M*A*S*H episode with both Trapper John and B.J. in it.
- Scoring a sweet parking space directly outside the bar Saturday
- Jeff Pulver opening the bar Saturday and effectively ending my weekend (managed to rally for the Flaming Lips concert Sunday)
- Darting in and out to be a soccer dad, but still being made to feel a part of the group
- Totally missing meeting John Wall, C.C. Chapman and others-- or did I? See Jeff Pulver bullet above...

Sorry I am missing NYC this weekend, but Podcast Ready and Topaz will be represented, and I'll follow y'all on Twitter

Re: The History of PodCamp: Early Days

It's so funny. Thank goodness for the list as a way to look back on it all. My memory is crap to begin with. I do remember having to apologize to the list for implying that the New England Podcasters weren't rockstars in their own right. That's when you coined the phrase about me having to go everywhere twice.

Imagine that. PodCamps everywhere.

The king is dead. Long live the Camp.

Re: The History of PodCamp: Early Days

Seems so long ago and just yesterday at the same time.
