Christopher S. Penn's Awaken Your Superhero: What metrics matter to podcasters?

What matters to me is comments. If someone takes the time to no just read but comment on a blog post it lets me know I am relevant. Numbers are good too but I really want trackbacks or comments. I have just started my blog so I hope to build it up but I want quality!
