I was talking to Juilen this week, I was thinking about doing some kind of invite-only retreat. Maybe we can kick that around next week....

It's funny Chris 'cus I think you helped invent the model -- the self-organizing nature of Podcamp and similar events to me are exactly what is needed for "veterans" (I use the quotes because those of us who are veterans in some things are neophytes in others). Grabbing a few like-minded folks for an informal circle at event, or over lunch or dinner, to my mind is as close as we get to a grad seminar in the new/social media space. I know this was my experience again this year at Podcamp Toronto.

That said, I do like the idea of a retreat.
